Two more stallions bred by Millfield Stud are licensed.

Two more stallions bred by Millfield Stud have been licensed by the AES.
Millfield Darin by Eurocommerce Berlin out of Selma (Lux/Calato/Landgraf) was champion UK KWPN foal and was then sold to Old Lodge at the Brightwells foal sale and has now been licensed.
Also Chaplin by Cassini 1 who was born in Germany and came over as a weaned foal with his dam has also been licensed with the AES.
Both stallions along with our own licensed stallion Cairo by Calido will be aimed at the 4 year old classes this year.
This news further enhances the quality of the horses we are breeding.

First foal of 2012 born

The first foal of 2012 has been born. A colt by Calido 1 out of Chi Chi (Clearway/Contender/Sympatico). He is one of only a handful of foals by Calido that will be born in the UK this year. He is called Millfield Chilido and will be for sale, details will be under foals for sale shortly.

More offspring success

Our broodmares are continuing to 'prove' themselves through the successes of their offspring during 2011.
Outshine's stallion son Callboy has won several young horse classes in Germany and is now competing at 1.45 and CSI**.
His full sister has been sold to Old Lodge and will hopefully start her career this year in 5 year old classes.
Nizza's daughter Quirina won her qualifier and qualified for the Bundeschampionate.

The half brother of our mare Quitania, called L' Etoile Z who was sold as foal to Paul Shockemohle, was licensed as a stallion in Mecklenburg and susequently sold to Denmark for 260,000 euros. Quitania is now being produced for sport after having a foal by Balou du Rouet last year.

2011 Breeding Success

2011 has been an excellent year for the quality of our foals confirmed by experts and the market.
As the BEF Futurity has now drawn to a close this year, Millfield foals dominate the top spots for potential show jumpers. There are 8 Elite foals in this catagory with us having two of them, Millfield Lancelot and Quinlan Z. At the Oldenburg inspections this week again 3 out of 4 foals were awarded premiums with Millfield Lancelot also being awarded the coverted Hengstenwarter (potential stallion). The quality again was also confirmed at the Brightwells auction where our foals had a lot of interest and were sold well despite the current climate.
