2011 Breeding Success

2011 has been an excellent year for the quality of our foals confirmed by experts and the market.
As the BEF Futurity has now drawn to a close this year, Millfield foals dominate the top spots for potential show jumpers. There are 8 Elite foals in this catagory with us having two of them, Millfield Lancelot and Quinlan Z. At the Oldenburg inspections this week again 3 out of 4 foals were awarded premiums with Millfield Lancelot also being awarded the coverted Hengstenwarter (potential stallion). The quality again was also confirmed at the Brightwells auction where our foals had a lot of interest and were sold well despite the current climate.

Lord Luis Sold to Nina Barbour

It is with very mixed emotions that we have sold Lord Luis to Nina Barbour at Bolesworth Castle to become part of her competition string and eventually part of her new stud breeding top class event horses. Although we are very sad to see him go as he was very much part of the family, he has gone to a fantastic home and we wish Nina and Luis continued success.
He will still be available at Millfield Stud via his excellent frozen semen for the time being. 
Chaccomo has also been sold to a private breeder for use on their own mares.
